  • I know adults that need to wear a bib sometimes... but seriously, it just depends on your child. My 3 year old is always messy when he's eating, and I would LOVE for him to wear a bib - I mean really, I go through stain remover like nobody's business. But he's refused to wear a bib since he was about 1 1/2; he'd just snatch it off the very second I put it on. My daugther will wear one. She's 17 months.. I'll at least try to have her wear one as long as possible.

  • My girls never used bibs. I would think a two and half year old would not need one, my youngest is that age and can use a big spoon eating soup and not make a mess but I guess it all depends on the child.

  • We don't use one with breakfast and some lunches, but dinner we ate naked. She goes from chair to bath most nights. My LO is 17 mos and makes a mess. It all depends on the child. Some days are better then others. We aren't even consistently using silverware yet. Just be patient.

  • My DD doesn't use a bib. She hasn't used one since she was about 10 months old. She's not really a messy eater either. I guess it depends on the child and how messy they eat! lol

  • My 4th child is a bit over 2.5. He hasn't used a bib for probably a year. My older kids we stopped using them around 1.5 too. They just really didn't need them. Seeing a kid as old as mine using a bib makes me wonder how anal the mom is at other times.

  • Jayson is 27 months and doesn't use a bib, he could use it sometimes but we just don't do bibs. Not when he was little either I just took his shirt off to feed him!

  • Mine does. She *could* probably go without. But I buy way too many cute clothes, and am too aware that I want to hand them down to my next dd. So, it's hard for me to relax when I know that ketchup could fall on her cute gingerbread shirt. She does still make a mess sometimes, but is mostly okay. I just took her shirt off until about 2 months ago. She learned better that way, since she felt the food fall. I was at chick fil a and took her shirt off, though, and this 5ish and 8ish year old boy started pointing and talking about my 2 year old's "tits." It really freaked me out (probably irrational, but ick), so we went back to bibs. She's skinny, btw.
