I AM TECHINALLY A SINGLE STAY AT HOME MOM.... I AM THINKING ABOUT FILING TAEXS AND CLAIMING MY SON.... CAN I ACTUALLY DO THIS....

  • If you have no income, you cannot get any type of refund.
    You need an income and a W2.

  • You can't claim a refund or Earned Income Credit if you have no income so no.

  • I cannot tell from what you have said. Do you the right to claim your child? Are there document stating if you or the father get to claim the child? Is there any income? Even "under the table" is legally required to be reported. Are you living with someone who can claim you or your son? etc. Easiest way to tell is to go to IRS.gov and pull the the instructions for the1040.
