Can someone tell me the point to "next step" formula?

I got a sample in the mail today of Enfagrow next step. I am not anti-formula, as my 10 month old has been a formula baby since 8wks. But when I read the label, the 3rd ingredient listed is corn syrup. Oh, THAT sounds healthy. :P The only benefit I can see is it has a little bit more protein than regular formula, but wouldn't an older infant or toddler get the additional protein from meat and dairy in their table food diet? What is the point to this stuff?

  • I believe that it is a gimick. I told my ped that I gave my dd the sample we got in the mail and she threw a fit. She was all A baby that age should be on real milk. So go figure. :D

  • I don't see the point unless your child has special nutrition needs. :-)
