  • My son started walking at 10 months, we have an entire house of wood floors. My daughter started just before her first birthday.

  • I dont' think it would make a difference. I was walking at 7 months and we had hardwood floors. my son was walking at a year and daughter was walking at 9 months, and we had carpet

  • If they're in socks it definately makes it a lot harder to walk on wood floors for infants/toddlers. We have carpet though and my son started walking shortly after his first birthday.

  • my early walker learned on hardwood.

the other two were 12 and 15months when they walked and in that house we only had carpet. #3 got up and walked at 9-10months.
