What is your budget for each of your children's Christmas lists?

I am wondering what other moms spend on each child, particularly ages 3-5. I didnt know how to make this a poll LOL.

  • My kids are 3 and 1, they get stuff throughout the year, so we don't really do anything big for Christmas. Our big celebration is Birthdays. The kids get one to two toys a piece on Christmas. So I guess budget, $50 at most.

  • My daughter is 4 & we have spent around $400.00. And it isn't that she wants all these things but I just get so excited & want her to have these things. The only thing she has asked for from Santa is a $19.00 telescope. She is spoiled rotten but she doesn't act like it. when she starts acting like a spoiled brat, then it will be time to cut back. But she is a good kid & appreciates everything she gets! She is my one & only & I am going to spoil her!

  • I didn't have one but I made a list of the things I would like him to have for Christmas. We are trying to not go all out like when I was a kid. I want Santa to only bring him one toy and for us to get only two or three things. On my list: doll house dolls for his action figure club house (basically his boy doll house we already have and are fixing up). Did not find them. I am very specific with our needs. Buzz and Woody and the two Toy Story DVD's. Also could not find them affordable. Buzz and Woody were priced at over $30 each. No way. And some Thomas the Tank trains (from Santa off my child's wish list). That I did find. What we ended up with: Two Ken Barbie dolls (one white one black), a puzzle of the solar system (he loves the solar system), some Thomas trains, and a John Deer big tractor to play with. A few stocking stuffers. Kooties the game. I probably spent around $200 and I wish I did better.

  • No specific Christmas budget, we just watched how many items we were getting and made sure it fit in our regular monthly budget.

  • We currently only have one child (daughter who is 4) and I would say I spent probably about $100-125 on her this year. I started shopping early and bought things as I saw them on sale so I think we did good this year. She didn't get a big gift like she did last year.
