My 16 month old DD is sleeping more then that normal?

I do not know if it is because she is growing or if it is because she is teething or what...she is sleeping more then usual. Is this usually normal or what? she has not ran a feaver or anything.

  • Totally normal they have serious growth spurts and that takes a lot of energy.

  • very true....if they are going through a growth spurt or teething they will sleep alot more...but keep an eye on her anyways cause some kids get tired before they start showing symptoms of a cold or flu..

  • My pediatrician said that sleeping more than usual is a sign of something viral . Even without any other symptoms

  • DS sleeps a lot during growth spurts. How has she been eating lately? DS has a funny cycle. He eats like a bird for a few days. I can barely get him to eat 1 full meal a day. Then for a few days he'll sleep hours more than usual. Finally, for a few days (while he starts to sleep "normal" again) he'll eat everything in sight!
