Maybe I'm just paranoid, but...

Is there something wrong if my baby's cry changes?? Over the last couple days his cries have become more squeaky & high pitched...both hubby & I get freaked out when it happens. He is 9wks old & this is our first so we're not sure if it's normal or if maybe he is sick (sore throat??) or what?

  • Oh poor Baby!! He could very well be sick. Take his temp and when he screams try to look at his tonsils or throat, shouldn't be too hard. Just remember to vaseline really well the baby thermometer.

When my son was a toddler he used to get burnt red ears when he had an ear infection. Other times he'd be with hardly any visual or physical symptoms to us but he'd have a really bad infection.

Try moving his legs like a bicycle to help push out gas and write down his feedings hours and even records cries for doctor.

  • when my son was a baby, the high pitched cries/screams usually mean some form of pain or discomfort... trust your instinct, if you think he is sick or something is wrong, call or take him to the doctor.
