  • I just took all the bottles away at night and gave a sippy cup the next day. No big deal. They get thirsty and they drink.

  • pretty much same as above for me. My son seemed to not like the first few cups I tried but I could nopt afford to buy every cup on the market, which is what alot of moms try their little ones found one they liked. So I simply did not give him an option! I gave him a cup and when he got thirsty enough he began drinking from it. We were worried that he would get dehydrated because he was not drinking at first, but just go with it. My son would drink from a regular cup so if he did get dehydrated we would have just given him Pedialyte from a regular cup. After a day or two, he started drinking though.

  • We started giving the sippy with water at snack times in addition to breastfeeding/bottle times until he got the hang of it, and then switched them out one feeding/day.

  • With my dd gave her a sippy cup with water or juice at 6 months . So by the time she turned 1 we had no problem taking the bottle away. She never missed it.
