I need Christmas snack ideas

I am looking to have a small get together with my immediate family this week- Around 5-6 o'clock. I don't want to cook a full dinner, since I will be working this day. Should I just do cookies, or snacks? Do you have any good suggestions or ideas?

  • I live in Peru and a popular meal here is "lonche" served between 4:30-5:30. It's usually fresh rolls, sliced meat and cheese with tea or coffee for the adults and hot chocolate for the kids. Maybe something like that would work for your event.

  • We're making almond bark pretzels. Its a holiday tradition in my family. :)

  • If you are having a get-together between 5 and 6pm, it is only appropriate that you serve dinner, or at the very least, heavy hors d'oeuvres. If you want to just serve cookies, muffins, or some other light snack it needs to be no later than 4pm and no earlier than 7pm.
