Are you close to your due date? If you are, it could be labor. Try to get some rest...drink alot of water, being dehydrated can cause bad braxton hicks or preterm labor. Change position, take a warm shower. Have someone rub your back for you, go for a walk. If you are laying around, get up and move, if you are up and moving, go lay down. Sometimes change in positions will help calm braxton hicks by doing the oposit of what you are doing can sometimes help. If it is labor though, nothing will make them go away, just coping will be what you beed to do. Unless your Dr has told you to, there really isnt any need to go to the hospital right when they start, all they will do is monitor you and tell you to go home unless youa re about 3-4 cm, it will just be a waste untill you get to that point. Unless your Dr has areason to want you there earlier, he would have told you though if he did. Good luck.
