What went on at 1 am?

Well the pubs stood against surprisingly even the mega RINO Snowe..

I am sure Reid and them will shove this all the way through regardless because its about control

I caught this in the article.. Liberal Democratic senators vowed that where the legislation falls short, Congress would answer with modifications and additions.

imagine that..whod of known? ...as stated a million times they will shove it through and then add whatever the hell they want later on...

  • They are trying to get everything done by the break. Sheesh. Get a grip on reality.

AMom, this is a huge bill.  One that even the Dems will acknowledge is huge, intricate and groundbreaking.  Why is it no big deal that they are rushing this through without even having any details worked out nor having even read the bill?  Why is this okay?  If this is such an important thing for our country, why not take the time and do it right, instead of a midnight rush?  I was always advised to sleep on big decisions before making them.  They are rushing this because they have to get as much done by the end of the year to lessen the impact these horrible decisions will have on midterm elections.  I have a perfect grip on reality.  Every last one of those SOB's in DC are sneaky as hell.  That's why they are there.

  • Also it states they are trying to determine how it will be paid for? ...figures no real idea how it would be paid for before trying to cram it through...but most of us KNOW how it will be paid for..

and sounds like later on we will likely be paying for elective abortions too with our tax dollars..

  • After the senate vote on Christmas Eve. (Or Holiday eve to be PC) The house and senate will have to begin again to reach something they can agree with. This will be a real battle with the dems. Hopefully it will last into election time.

  • The news just reported that the Nebraska (?) senator changed his vote to a YES in exchange for his state not having to pay an increase in Medicaid. He was bought off!!! That is disgusting!! Nebraska is the only state that won't have to pay the increase now!

  • They are trying to hide this while news is slow this time of year. Anyone that votes this health care thing in will NOT be re-elected next year. The public is totally against this bill.

  • Nebraska wasn't the only state to get a special treat. Vermont, Massachusetts, and Hawaii got some little sweet deals. (Not quite the same level as Neb, but still.........) Plastic surgeons got out of the tax that had been proposed for procedures, which was added on to TANNING FACILITIES. Yes, there will be a 10% tax on tanning. Here is an article which spells it out fairly well:
