My 7 month old was just diagnosed with asthma...

any tips?

  • i ahve asthma so does my dd. watch for triggers,
    pets, dust,food,smoke, stress. they are many. learn to use the inhailor . talk to her dcotor about it. learnm to use the medeicnes and only when needed. i had asthma since i was a baby. wathc out for the winetr is the worst time and spring can be deadly too, if you ahve any qiestions msg me

  • My son was diagnosed when he was under a year. Like the PP said, look for triggers, so you know when to use the appropriate medications/treatments. My son doesnt have allergies, but as soon as he gets a cold he has to go on the nebulizer treatments and if it last longer than 7 days he starts oral steroids.. He also takes daily inhaled steroids (QVAR) and Singulair Granuals. Back in May he was only sick for 5 days and ended up in the PICU for 3 days... so just stay on top of it :-)
