Is there a difference between a 26 yr old and 21 yr old dating compared to 21 yr old and 17 yr old dating?

I was so worried about liking a 21 year old cause I am 26 but I went along with it... now he's going for a 17 year old! I feel so rejected and old lol.

  • The 26 and the 21 year old can both legally drink. There's one difference right there.

  • Maturity level is a big difference I see. At 26 you are more stable, settled etc.. At 21 he is of legal age to drink and partying is a big thing at that age. At 17 partying and having a good time with friends and the opposite sex is top priority for alot. So I can see why the 21 year old is after the 17 year old. They have similar interests, they are closer in age based on maturity level.

  • One is legal and one is not but that tells you what kind of guy he is so don't feel rejected. Find a nice guy who doesn't like doing kids.

  • I dont think anyone in their 20's should be dating someone under 18. But hey some guys are still 17 in the head at 21!

  • I think 17 and 21 year olds have a lot more in common than a 26 year old. By 26 you should be done with the partying and running around, more ready to settle down. However, 17 is a child and should not be dating anyone that much older than them!
