If the wise men were to come today, what three gifts would they bring?

Gold still works, but nobody knows what frankincense and myrrh is any more! What 3 presents would the magi bring?

  • no no no . . . : )

These are great gift ideas for "normal" people. But these were gifts for the Messiah!!! And they were symbolic of His purpose here. The gold was because He is a King. But the frankincense symbolized His eternal priesthood. And the myrrh was a gift for a burial, symbolizing His sacrificial death. So we need to come up with ideas for what we would give that would symbolize His eternal priesthood. And then something symbolic of His sacrificial death. I just don't see the symbolism in technology and coffee, LOL!!!

I can't think of anything that would accomplish the symbolism--any ideas???

I think I will just give Him my heart : ) and my life : )

  • Yes, I know that myrrh and frankincense are still used today, but they certainly are in the common arena of stuff most people know about and use.

Hmm...three most valuable things today...gold, communion bread, and wine (ha ha ha ha...)

But I'm liking the GPS, Credit Card (with unlimited funds!), and laptop...just for fun.
