5 month old with dark circles under eyes

My 5 month old has dark circles under her eyes, even after a full nights sleep and a few naps.

She's been having dehydration issues (hard stools) when I have her on powder formula, so her dr switched her to concentrate. She still has the hard stools only now her eyes have these really dark circles under her eyes.

Could this also be from dehydration?

  • She hasn't had any new foods yet this week, and today's the first day that the circles have been there. Her last new food was last saturday, so i dont think it's allergies.

  • This is a very common sign of allergies, especially dairy

  • Ditto the allergies, but I've never heard it was especially dairy...I have a couple of kids who have dark circles but haven't had really any dairy for a while now.

  • I'm curious as to what kind of "new foods" you're feeding a 5 month old...? I'm not a basher either I'm genuinely curious....

  • to the poster a bove, she's on baby food already. drs orders. she gets a new food a week. to the dairy allergy posters, shes lactose intollerant and drinks soy.
