Can you get state funded child support if your married?

just out of curiosity. I'm not getting it or need it- just want to know what people can do.

  • I second Aasiuyah, I don't know what that is either. I would assume, though (and of course I shouldn't do that), that if you have a child that you are supposed to be getting support for, then unless your new husband has adopted the child and therefore the bio parent's rights are terminated, that you would get whatever child support you are entitled to, in whatever form you are entitled to get it in.

  • Child support is NOT state funded. A parent has to pay it out. It would be nice if there was something like that, then I wouldn't have to struggle every month that my ex doesn't pay child support.
