  • About 3 months old. My grandma would mash up soup and potatoes. He loved it. He was on ALL tablefood by 8 months old. And I had the blessing of his doctors. He is now 13 yrs old has NO allergies, no health issues and is far from obese.

  • At six months like to pediatrician told me to do. I always followed the doctors instructions. My mother in law told me different, but all her other grand kids are/did either have food allergies or are OBESE. She also gave them whole milk at the age of six months. It is not recommended. Good luck.

  • After 1 year of age personally for me. No i didnt do that with my two daughters but i am changing it to 1 year with my son being born next april. I am BF exclusively only for 1 year or when he wants to wean. No baby jar food because its gross and un healthy. I am making my own baby food at home and once baby masters that i will wait until he has teeth to introduce other foods that need to be used with teeth. This is what I AM DOING & what i think is the right correct way. I am not going to have a pedi because they are useless, im more into the whole organic foods, making food at home, local produce from farmers market.

  • Around 6-8 months for all 3 of my kids. They were eating things like plain mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, applesauce, mashed bananas, mashed green peas, basically anything that could be boiled super soft and mashed up. By 8 months they were eating chunkier foods like chunks of cooked carrots, green beans, etc. All with the blessing of their pediatricians.

  • Around 6 months they started getting tastes of what we were eating if it was soft/mushy. By 7 1/2 months my youngest was feeding herself table food. By 9 months she was off baby food completely.
I'd say on average around 9-10 months they were no longer eating baby food on a regular basis (usually just for desert or if we weren't eating something they could have). Otherwise they were eating table food.
Having teeth has nothing to do with eating. A baby's first teeth are the front ones that aren't used for chewing so it doesn't matter if they have teeth or not. It doesn't make a difference because they still have to mash with their gums.

Pediatricians are pointless or doctors are pointless? I'm confused.
