When is 'too soon' for colostrum to come in?

I still have about 10 weeks to go and recently had colostrum come in. It expresses itself, I didn't stimulate or squeeze it out or anything. Everybody I've asked says that shouldn't be happening yet but I want more opinions. I'm seeing my midwife this week and will ask her. Just wondered about other experiences or insight.

  • women experience leakage from about the 4th month on... nothing weird or abnormal about it- you're experiencing what we all do.

  • I am currently nearly 31 weeks and on my 3rd pregnancy...It is very a matter of fact, mine started "expressing" about 2 weeks ago...nothing to worry about. I promise.

  • I agree with the above responses. Usually, but not always, you start leaking about 6-7 months. I'm 23 weeks, and had a little leaking the other day. It's normal.
