HURRY! Making a cake and out of eggs.

I can't get to the store. I seem to remember you can use apple sauce. It's a cake mix and I need the equivalent of 3 eggs for it? What can I use? Apple sauce? Mayonnaise? I dunno. I need help. Please.

  • I believe the apple sause is substitute for the oil, not the eggs

  • Do you have any close neighbors? I would try and borrow eggs from them. IF not I would search far and wide for ideas I really don't think there is a sub but then again vegans eat cake. So look into what vegan cakes use.

  • as a professional chef I hope you find eggs! Applesauce is a substitute for oil, so is mayo, you can't bake too many cakes without eggs, flour, yes, eggs, not that I know of! I used 9 eggs in my Buche de Noel this year, and that doesn't include the 12 yolks I used in the buttercream!

  • Ground flax is also an oil replacement, NOT an egg replacement. You can't replace eggs easily, especially not if it's a boxed cake mix. GL.
