Plus Sized Clothing & ladies that wear it.

I usually shop at Old Navy, but their selection is looking pretty sparse right now.

  • When I wore plus size, my favorite store was Torrid. Love it, even though its more expensive. They have some extremly flattering, stylish clothes made specifically for plus size people.

  • Talbots is great if you work in a professional office. I especially love them b/c they carry petite plus sizes. They're expensive but you can get some great deals on sale.

  • The only place I usually shop (for everyone) is Target. We can't afford anything more expensive. They just revamped their plus size section because for the longest time they had just 2 racks in our store and there was never anything on it. Now they have a whole section. I've been picking up shirts off the clearance racks. I buy them a size or 2 bigger then I need because they run small/tight and I hate that. I prefer they hang more.
I've been getting my jeans at Kohl's or Penney's. I used to get them at Wal-mart but they have basically gotten rid of their plus size section. Last time I was there they had only 2 racks of jeans and all were straight legged. I HATE straight legged jeans. They are uncomfortable and look horrible on me. I buy bootleg or flared.

  • Dress Barn! Once you shop there you will never want to shop anywhere else. The clothes are good quality, affordable and attractive. The bonus is they are their own brand and the sizes are consistent. I hate trying on clothes and this is a huge bonus! If one pair of 1X pants fit they all will!
