Can I find a midwife on Texas Medicaid?

I just found out I was pregnant and can't find out any information until two weeks from now when I can apply for Medicaid.

Does anyone know this just off hand?

  • YES!! I did. What part of TX are you in? My midwife was GREAT! I was on medicaid twice and used her...she has her own birthing center- wasn't (still isn't) in a hospital

  • I dont know about Texas, but here in PA, midwives (both hospital and birth center) are totally covered by medicaid.
