The fact that this terrorist boarded a plane with explosive materials attached to his body and was able to actually attempt detonation (thank God it failed), does NOT mean "the system worked!" It means you got LUCKY....again!
If the system worked, the terrorist would not have been able to board the plane, almost make it to his destination, and attempt to accomplish his mission. Rather, he would have been stopped at the airport, questioned, and likely arrested (since he was wearing the explosive materials/device), and this would have been a non-issue.
(don't worry libs, it's a clip from CNN from this morning!)

What you all fail to realize, is that no matter how much America beefs up their security, terrorists will ALWAYS find a way around it
Ahh very true. Apparently the Airport security manual lists several ways in which someone might be able to evade their detector systems and sneak dangerous materials onto planes. There are several flaws in the system and probably always will be.

He did not board the plane in the US, LK- So, whose watch are you lambasting? Is this Obama's responsibility, too? Are we to control EVERYONE and EVERTHING? Grow the heck up. NOTHING happened. Near misses happen everyday ITRW- Do you live in a bubble or under a rock???

I wonder if Obama will be rehashing this written piece in his response to the 9/11 attacks?! You know, the one where he blames POVERTY as the reason for the 19 middle-upper class, college educated, hijackers resorted to such a heinous crime against innocent American civilians!! Never mind the fact that the "almost bomber" also came from a privileged upbringing and was living in a 2 million pound apartment in London.
More about the attempted bomber
