WHATS VEAL?

i wanted to try this meatloaf recipe and the recipe called for veal but I dont have any idea what it is. my husband says its deer..is it?

    veal is baby moo. you can substituts 80/20 ground adult moo for veal

  • No, veal is baby cow. The calves are usually put in very small crates so that they are unable to move to ensure that they don't build up their muscles making the meat the most tender.

    I don't and never have eaten veal----but now, I don't eat beef at all.
