How can you tell if a toddler who is almost 2 has a headache?

I always wonder since adults have headaches do toddlers have headaches also. And, how can you tell if he has a headache?

  • But how would they tell you? My son is almost 2 and can't talk in full sentences. So would they point towards their head or what?

  • Most two year olds can communicate and will let you know if there is pain they cannot tolerate. A mind headache may not phase them and doesn't really need to be treated. Many adult headaches are triggered by stress, so I'm pretty sure most kids will not have that kind. Allergy or sinus headaches, or food triggered headaches might happen.

    How do they tell you? How does your child tell you he's sick? Crying? Say "owwie"? It's your kid. You must know by know how to tell if he's not feeling well and what hurts.
