has anyone been denied for medicaid and then when you became pregnant yourecieved medicaid?

  • I havent personally but a good friend of mine had that happen to her . We were denied , but our daughter is on it . Our friends had the same thing happen , but when she got pregnant she reapplied and was accepted .

  • Many times pregnant women are accepted so the mother gets good prenatal care

  • You can get pregnancy medicaid regardless of income, you just have to pay for it like you would any other insurance. We certainly don't qualify for medicaid but when I didn't have maternity coverage I checked into it just in case. We would have had to pay $2000 deductible for the delivery/hospital stay and the office visits and ultrasounds we'd have to pay also.

  • Medicaid rules vary from state to state and, sometimes, even from county to county within a state, so you can't really base your decision on anybody else's experience unless they live in your state and county. If you are pregnant without medical insurance, you should call your local DPW office and ask about program availability for someone in your situation.
