  • Most salads aren't very healthy. Lettuce is mostly water and salad dressing is high in fat.

Most healty things don't need recipes. I like to get a several kinds of fresh fruit and cut it up and mix it together with a little orange juice.

Microwave potato, sweet potato, or winter squash. Grill summer squash, onion, peppers, mushrooms. Grill beef, chicken, or fish.

We make chili with 1 pound ground buffalo, 2 cans red or kidney beans, 1 large can tomato sauce and spices. We make tacos with ground buffalo.

  • I make really yummy escarole and bean "soup" but its really thick and delicious. Also, veggie chili and homemade chicken noodle soup. For dinners we mostly have grilled or baked chicken breast with roasted veggies (grilled in the summer). I love making frozen berry yogurt smoothies too.

  • veggie wraps, everyone loves them

Answer by QandA at 9:52 PM on Dec. 28, 2009

  • Anything can be healthy if you use quality ingredients and make it fresh. I've been making a lot of veggie soups lately.

Grilling and baking are better than frying. Dry rubs and dry seasonings are generally better than sauces. Try to limit salt. Don't buy processed food. Don't have it in your house.

  • she's kinda right the veggie parts of salads are very healthy it's the extras that make them unhealthy. Most experts will tell you the all you can eat salad bars are usually the most unhealthy things to eat at places. Why high fat dressings, meat, cheeses, croutons. We don't usually add a taste of them we load them on. Heck almost anyone will eat the salad if your doctor it up.

we have veggie wraps, grilled fish (salmon and tuna mostly) we make fruit smoothies with skim milk.
