  • My handman spouse does some plumbing work; he is self taught, though.

  • I believe it's a 1 year program at a community college. I had a bf when I was younger who was in school for this, but his was a joint degree and taking longer. I could be wrong, but call your local tech/community college and ask.

  • If you want to go through the apprenticeship program with the Pipefitters Union, it's a 5 year program. You make a decent wage starting out, which increases over time and with the classes. You get great hands-on experience and don't have to go job hunting, the jobs find you. :)
