Have you ever seen an athiest advertisement?

After reading the Catholic bashing thread, I started thinking. I don't think I have ever seen one, but have you where you live?

  • I suspect anyone who tried to put one up around here would be lynched.

  • My husband and a friend seen a poster on side of a metro bus that said Yes Virginia there is no God. Live in the Seattle area, and this state is very liberal.

  • I have to agree that it wasn't a Catholic bashing thread... However, I don't think it's the same thing. Any church is by definition an organization with members. Atheist are not members of any such organization, they just happen to not believe in any god. So they don't need to advertise for members, if that makes sense. I've seen plenty of bumper stickers and such (like "Dog is my co-pilot" etc), but no advertisements, since there's nothing to advertise FOR.

  • I know certain atheist groups put up billboards but I've never personally seen them. I've only seen the articles online.

  • I have never seen one either but it would seem to me, if they are allowed then Christians and Jews and Muslims and whatever else should be permitted as well.
