i found our plastic broom on the heater after being woken up by a weird smell. took it off and the heater still smells when on. i turned it off but its so cold and i have a newborn. is it toxic to breathe? will it start a fire?

  • ok i found the melted plastic and cannot get it off, the only thing i can think of is to turn the heater on to melt the plastic to get it off with something

  • perhaps if it dries it will flake off, like wax>>> IDK but thank god you didn't have a fire!! I think that if it needs to be warm to get off might as well use the furnace, the smell will be the same no matter what you use!
