  • Research it. It really depends on the type of abortion. The places that provide abortion give out booklets of information on abortion before, during and after.

  • It all depends on how far along and who is doing the procedure. The sooner it's done the easier it is. One of my daughters friends had one at 13 weeks and was in ALOT of pain and had ALOT of bleeding. I was worried she might have an infection but didn't. There is a chance of puncturing the uterus leading to infection. Abortions not doe right under sterile conditions could lead to sterility in the woman. Also, even if someone thinks they really want one there will be emotional problems afterwards. Definately not something to do lightly.

  • Planned Parenthood has all that info on their national site. It is listed by method and development in weeks of the pregnancy. It is very scientific.

  • No pain. You are asleep. You go home and there might be cramping like a period for a couple of days. That's it.

  • What kind of pain does it cause? Maybe you should think about the pain it will cause your baby!!! I don't know if you are asking for yourself or someone else... but either way, it is extremely selfish. I mean... why not consider adoption before murder?

  • You are more likely to die from a term pregnancy than from an early, theraputic, abortion.

  • Jenmarie- Get a life! In most cases, a woman is more selfish to bring an unwanted child into this world, hand them over to perfect strangers and hope for the best.

  • Why would you even consider that? if you're trying to convince yourself it's a "Fetus" and not a "baby" then why get rid of it? OH yes, because it' IS a baby. If you don't have enough love or your circumstances can't let you raise it. Then at least give 9 months of your life out to give this baby a chance by putting it up for adoption. IT"S THE LEAST YOU CAN DO! This is a CHILD, your body yes, but an INNOCENT BABY that doesn't have a say because it's "your body" how sad women consider this. The only 'understanding" I would have towards you is rape or medically. If either of those are the reasons then I retract my statements.
