when can i start letting my LO drink out of a sippy cup?

  • I started my DD on a sippy at 6 months and she was completely off the bottle at 8 months.

  • I started all 4 of mine when they started sampling baby food (around 5-6 months). Usually it was a bit of watered down juice (as a treat) or just plain water. Occasionally a little plain milk with dinner. By around 7 months they figured out how to get the liquid out, before that they mostly just played with it. By 9 months they were all drinking out them without help. I only put water, juice or milk in their sippies. Formula went in bottles which they still had.
    I always kept a sippy of water where ever they were playing and offered it all the time (like when ever I took a sip of my own drink).
