Is progesterone cream better than provera for conception?

  • Well, when I was TTC my first, the doctor only gave me Provera to start my period because I supposedly didn't ovulate with the second cycle of Clomid. Turns out, I was pregnant, and that's why I hadn't started my period. Anyway, progesterone cream is to help balance out your hormones, like if you have problems with PMS or are going through menopause. I'm not familiar with progesterone cream being used for conception and like I said, Provera is to start your period, not to help you conceive.

  • They are just different forms of progesterone. The cream is absorbed into your system much faster than the pill.
