Democrats sleeping with the enemy?

For all their railing against the evils of big bad banks, Democrats aren't shy about jumping into bed with them when the price is right. And they don't much care whether taxpayers lose out in the process.
And you think they are looking out for YOU?

  • It's universal and across party lines, ladies. Yes, at the moment the Ds are in control, so THEY are the offendersCURRENTLY in the spot light. The title should have read, POLITICIANS and Big Business in bed together and scratching backs- declarative, no need to question-

  • Sure but sister so many believed it would be 'different' maybe not you ...but alot did just wont ever admitt it

  • So, sister, I guess that 2 wrongs make it ok? Plus, the whole democratic platform was getting rid of Washington graft and to bring about change, an honest government that the people can believe in with transparancy, and to stop all the underhanded double dealing. This was their montra. The only thing you can depend on out of this Congress and administration is that they are arrogant and will commit these acts with an "in your face" attitude. I get so tired of hearing "it's across party lines" or "republicans do it too". It's still wrong, but by saying that you shirk the responsibility of demanding either party to be held accountable. We must demand our representatives rise above instead of using us and our money to become the next group of "upper 5%-ers".

  • Funny I didn't hear any Dems blaming Dems for the housing crisis (was the Dems fault actually they would not allow regulations to be placed on Freddie or Fannie Barney Frank said they were doing Bush was blamed for that. So Dems (Obama) said they would be different and they are in charge so much so they own anything that goes on right now.

I don't care for most politicians I attend church with Charles Grassley he is a very nice man and a man who does care about our country I don't think too many like him are out there.

  • jesse- IF ALL (or at least the vast majority) of politicians are the same, how would an INDIVIDUAL or even a group counteract that culture? If your cronies do not agree with YOUR plan, and you need their support to effect change, how does change ever happen? It would lead to gridlock, imo. 2 wrongs making a right? NO WAY. 2 wrongs together make 4 wrongs, that's what I am saying. They are guilty, and they all (or vast majority) LIE and misrepresent themselves. THEY make decisions that benefit them; their culture-which has little to do with 'For the good of country". I think lusting for some 'Upstanding Republican" who would have come in and performed so much better and SELFLESSLY is using pie in the sky reasoning.

  • Are ppl saying that because Obama's platform was change, since it hasn't happened thus far, he is a more duplicitous politician than others or those before him? Did ppl really think this man and his admin was going to fix all that was wrong with this country in Nov 08? Really? Just can not imagine thinking like that-

  • Carpy- Are you and yours among those ppl? It seems those on the "Right" are the ones MOST bothered. Why are YOU so disappointed ? Did you actually BUY that rhetoric? If not, imo, you'd be much more indifferent! Independence, personally, financially and politically suits our family quite well-
