Groub B Streptococcus screening

I'm having a C-section so do I honestly need this test?

  • I am a labor and delivery nurse...and they still usually do them because they would need to know in case your water was to break before the scheduled c-section.

  • Google it. I have read that it can be spread with either form of birth. Check it out.

  • People are going to tell you that the test is never necessary but why wouldnt you get it? It is a painless and quick test and the result could ultimately help prevent complications to the baby
