nb with hiccups

How often should a nb have hiccups? It seems like my dd has then all the time!

  • My LO had them all the time! I was so concerned I went to the pedi about them. But he said everything was fine and normal and that hiccups are a sign of a well fed baby! So don't worry as long as baby doesn't seem bothered by them.

  • both of my kids had them all the time when they were newborns, I wish there is something we can do for them.

  • My dd had them up to 8 or 9 times a day, the pediatrican said it was perfectly fine and not to worry....hope it helps!!!

  • it doesnt bother them and its a way they are working out the rest of amnio fluid from lungs. no worries mama. :)

  • It's normal. As they mature it will happen less frequently. Babies hiccup a lot, children less, so and adults rarely.
