Do you consider an Interracial relationship to be Black/White only?

I ask because my baby is a Chicana and my Husband is Mexican, the cultre differences are HUGE! Im SO outspoken and loud and SO not a Betty Crocker, but his parents and siblings are yet expect me to. So i want to know, when you hear Interracial, does only Black/White relationships come to mind? Even though theres Brown/Olive Olive/Black, Brown/ Black, ect.

  • I really don't put much stock into labels. My husband was adopted from honduras and raised by a white family. "Culturally speaking" we are pretty much carbon copies, but hubby just happens to have a better tan than me. =P

  • I guess technically it would be, but who cares? Why put a label on it ? If you have a great relationship then that's all that matters.

  • From my personal experience Spanish women generally are not as outspoken as American women are. Honestly, our culture could take a few lessons from some other cultures. That is JMHO.

  • Ronjwake- I beg to differ and you would change your mind when you are around Hispanic woman. We are very Outspoken... My mom is from Argentina an my dad is Mexican. I have Italian in my blood as well. We are very outspoken in many different things.we dont let people walk all over us and tell us what to do.We get into a few confrontations with strangers if they do something but not because we like drama. If something happens to me i say so. Just because i am hispanic does not mean i am not outspoken and i am American. And why do you assume Spanish woman are not American? You mean Caucasian woman?
