  • I always wash vegetables/fruit before eating them, some I use hot water, but others you can only use cold water.

  • No- I eat them right out of the bag. Of course, someone will say this is gross, but oh well, I like them this way!

  • nope, i do not. it is very rare that there is enough bacteria present to make one ill, and knowing first hand how they are processed, I feel confident that they in theory should be just fine.

i do not generally purchase them because I can get 2-3x as much when i buy who carrots... but when I do, no, i do not wash them.

  • Sometimes. Depending what I'm using them for - my kids would rather have them cooked. But if we're going to eat them raw with dip I usually do, and then I also lay them out on paper towels to dry them so the dip sticks.

  • It depends for me. Usually I always rinse them anyway. But I have eaten them without rinsing them so I think its just a person thing. If the package says they are pre-washed then they should be safe for consuming.

  • kimigogo-I remember reading bags before that said 'washed' and I have noticed lately the bags do not say that anymore.
Anon 11:28 funny you mentioned that because I do wash/rinse spinach.
