  • At that age, you can give her prune juice, not a lot, or just feed her prunes, my daughter loved it. You can ask your doc about giving a glycerine suppository. he OK'd it for my daughter and it really helped her. good luck.

  • You really shouldn't replace an infant's main source of nutrition (breastmilk or formula) with juice. You can give watered down juice in addition to but not in place of. Just thought I'd correct previous poster.

  • bfaith is right, don't replace formula with juice. If you're breastfeeding, change your diet. If you're formula feeding, talk to your doctor about switching to a low-iron formula, or using both. If you're feeding solids, cut out rice cereal and feed oatmeal, if you're feeding all kinds of cereal take it out totally, also feed pears, not prunes, they help soften but won't cause blowouts and gutaches like prunes can, and they taste better too.

  • At seven months baby is on solids...think FIBER! Give something full of fiber at least twice a day (I used to give green beans and broccoli). Fiber will keep things moving on a regular basis. Better yet - make your own baby food by steaming fresh veggies and pureeing them for baby (can be frozen for later).
