car seat in a pickup truck??

my son is old enough to be forward facing in a car seat and weighs enough he is 16 months and over 20lbs. I choose to keep him rear facing though as long as i can. I am going to be borrowing my mother in laws truck to try and transport a dresser. can i put his car seat forward facing in the front seat of the truck----the pickup is a single cab with no backseat and older so it doesnt have airbags... what can i do???

  • We had a single cab truck for a long time with our first. We always put him rear facing in the middle. It was older, so no air bags either.

  • Yes you can, as long as there isn't any air bags you are fine.
