  • It's a tax thing. Some people qualify to receive extra money from it and others don't. I'm not too sure about the qualifications, whether it has to do with income amount or not.

  • Yeah the EIC is based on annual income. You have to be below $40,000 a year if you're single I believe and I don't remember what the limit is if you're married. All I know is that I qualify.

  • HA! Wish those of us hard working - middle class - Americans applied for free government money. My husband is laid off & we STILL don't qualify for crap! Pretty screwed up system if you ask me.
