Rush Limbaugh is a socialist now?

He is singing the praises of the Hawaii hospital where he was treated saying he received no special treatment and got excellent care. Therefore he says the American system is just fine

Except Hawaii is different than the other states in that they have whats closer to UHC and they have mandated inclusive employee coverage. Because everyone is covered and ER costs are down so are their medicare payments and regular premiums.

What do you think of this?

  • Rush Limbaugh sounds like Hawaii has a good thing going there. But Rush is a big fat liar. :-)

  • IDK about socialist; but I think he's a disgusting pig of a man who does nothing more 98% of his time than spew vile rhetoric to stir up his base audience.

  • Because everyone is covered and ER costs are down
That is because all of them are dying from meth overdose. Plus Gov. Linda Lingle's administration cited budget shortfalls and other available health care options for eliminating funding for the program. A state official said families were dropping private coverage so their children would be eligible for the subsidized plan.

"People who were already able to afford health care began to stop paying for it so they could get it for free," said Dr. Kenny Fink, the administrator for Med-QUEST at the Department of Human Services. "I don't believe that was the intent of the program."

  • Hmmm they were probably happy to get the higher payments from Rush's insurance company.

  • Oh, I don't know how this would make Rush a socialist though. Does that mean that anyone that Americans needing a hospital/doctor while in Europe are automatically socialists. What about Canadians that come here from treatment? Do they automatically become capitalists?

  • Why does receiving excellent care at a hospital equate being a socialist? Hawaii does not have UHC, so I'm not sure I understand OP's logic in calling Rush a socialist.
