nap time

i have a 9 week old son, my first. at what age should i starte regulating his naptimes?

  • my daughter is almost one and i still havent regulated anything. i feed her table foods at specific times but as far as her naps go, thats up to her. i dont wake up or put her down at certain times. i try to at night but still, it doesnt work out.

  • Around this age, your son should be falling into a natural pattern all by himself. Typically, two naps a day around this age, each 2-3 hours long. Once you've noticed a general pattern, start setting it in stone. My daughter went down at 10 am and 3 pm every day at this age. You'll both be happier if you have a schedule you can count on.

  • I am like momnbabygirl, I never wanted to be a slave to a nap schedule because every day is different with us. I have heard around four months is a good time to start regular naps and more of a set schedule. Good luck.
