Do you think I could be preg? / How common are false positives?

I've been having pregnancy symptoms for a couple of months so my best friend got me to take a pregnancy test. The first two were negative, but a week later I was still having symptoms so I took another test to satisfy my fiance. It was positive. Anyway, I've done 7 tests and five of them were positive and only the first two were negative.

I can't get into the doctor until the 17th and my fiance and I are freaking out, so I thought I'd ask for opinions from y'all.

  • I'm pretty sure with you having 5 positive test that you are! I'm not sure that even having 1 false positive is possible since they measure hormones that you only have during pregnancy. GL

  • Congrats Mommy :) Your hormone levels probably weren't high enough yet on the first two. My understanding is that you can't get false positives, just false negatives.

  • it is nearly impossibleto get a false positive. you are pregnant. congratulations!

  • Congratulations you are having a baby. My OB told me that HPT's don't have false positives anymore, but can have false negatives. YAY for you.
