How do you get blood out of a pillow???

My 3 year old has woken up with a bloody nose ( she has sinus infection) how do I clean the blood out of the pillow the pillow case I am just cleaning with clorox 2 it is brown so not really concerned with it but it got on the pillow also.

  • Hydrogen peroxide works wonders on blood.

  • borax & cold water.

    peroxide- works well too, rise with COLD water.

    or you can dab with a small amount of bleach and throw it in the wash on cold- counter balance it with another pillow or a couple of towels, dry on med.

  • thanks so much ladies I used the hydrogen peroxide method I poured some on the blood spots and I let set for a few minutes then I put in washer with bleach and it is like new. You would never guess that she had a bloody nose during the night. Thanks so much!!!!! It was a new pillow and I hated the thought of throwing it away. now I dont have to.
