Question for Freecyclers....

How do you chose whom to gift your items to? IS it by who replies first, or who you know, or based on need?

I just find it interesting how people choose who is getting the goods :D

  • I try to get rid of the stuff fast. If it something that someone really needs like a new winter coat I try to go by need. Not just wants.

  • I just gave away a 46" TV - it went to the first person that contacted me. I once saw a post that someone was looking for a twin sized mattress. I had one that was just taking up space. I contacted that person and she came and picked it up.

  • I generally go with first reply though sometimes not. If its something esp big or expensive and I get a lot of email then I normally go through them.

It just pisses me off that no one comes on time EVER.

  • Depends on what is being given away. If it's a pet I would go through all the emails and see who would give the best home but for the most part I give it to one of the first ones to answer.

  • depends on the situation but I ALWAYS give it to someone who said please and thank you. the ones who say 'give it to me' I just delete.
