What are the safest workouts i can do being pregnant?

I am about 8 weeks along (MAYBE) and i want to workout at least in my arms and legs. What is the best workouts or machines i can use?

  • i agree with pilates, pregnant or not. I have the pilates for pregnancy dvd that i bought while i was pregnant.

  • Treadmill and use small pound hand weights.

  • My doctor told me that I can do any exercise I want as long as I am not laying on my back while doing them. Good luck. and congrats.

  • I loved the Kathy Smith pregnancy workout; you should be able to pick up the DVD at your local library.

  • pilates and yoga are great, and swimming

    but you can do anything really (except the reclining ones - in the later trimesters) - if you feel you're capable go for it. BUT...don't do much if you're just starting out.
