i know that after you give birth, you still have the pregnancy hormone in your body. how long are these levels still high enough to give you a positive pregnancy test?

  • It is very rare for a test to come up positive after pregnancy. Especially, if you have finished bleeding. Which I am guessing you have or you wouldn't be worried to be taking a test. Remember you are pretty fertile the first 3 months after having a baby. If a test has came up positive I defently would go to the doctor to get it checked out to see if you are pregnant. My SIL got pregnant before she even had her first peroid after the birth of her son in Sept. 2007. She just had a little girl in August. Good Luck!

  • Your profile says your baby is 6 months...so you're long past any leftover hCg from her.
