Chicken N Dumplings Secrets

Do you have a special spice? Want to share some tips?

I have one. After cooking the chicken, I reserve 2 cups of the chicken stock, place in a mixing bowl, pour about 1/2 cup flour into the stock, and mix with electric mixer. I bring the stock back to a boil and pour the flour mixture in while wisking, then throw my dumplings in. No lumps and makes the soup part real thick.

  • In stead of flour I use about 3 heaping tablespoons of cornstarch and a 1/2 cup of water.......take the chicken out of the stock......while stirring the stock, pour in cornstarch mixture until desired's easy....doesn't lump and looks great! I do the same when making gravy for pot roast, turkey...etc..
