  • His first source of nutrition should still be breastmilk/formula...baby food is only to try out new tastes and textures and get him ready for later. He should still be on baby cereal mixed with breastmilk/formula before jars anyway. And...homemade veggies and fruits are cheaper and better for him.

  • are you still giving him a bottle or breast feeding? Do you feed him the infant cereal also? He still needs to take a bottle or breast feed. If he is not having a reaction to the food you are giving then i dont see why you couldnt feed him more...but my son is 7 months old now and he eats a bowl of cereal in the morning and before bed with a bottle and eats half a jar and a bottle and his other 2 feedings during the day.

  • Sure. Just make sure he still gets his formula/breastmilk too, that is more important for him at his age.

  • yeah the jars with veggies have very little caloric value to them. just make sure you're not feeding him any of the desserts they make. those aren't good for anything. stick with veggies and a couple of fruits too.
