How much meat, veggies, fruits and carb should a 1 year old eat?

  • Same number of servings as an adult, the serving sizes are just way smaller. Google "food pyramid for kids".

  • The average portion size for a toddler is 1/4 the size of an adults. I believe it is 4 veggies, 2 fruits, 6 grains, 2 meat. There are more now oils, etc. I can't remember all of them. If you have a toddler that will actually eat what they're supposed're so lucky!

  • Humans don't need meat. 5-7 servings of fruits and vegetables, in at least 3 different color. 5-6 servings of whole grains; two servings of legumes.
